In the novel, Hamlet, there is a character that suffers from a life of insecurity and uncontrolled events that afflict him as there is nothing he can do to change it. Hamlet is . . . a noble prince who suffers from a corrupt world that is not suitable to his sensitive moral nature.† He attempts to improve his distressed reality while his past continued to haunt him. He has a best friend, Horatio, who is loyal to him and tries to help him throughout the entire play. He is engaged to a lovely woman named Ophelia, which he loses interest with after he deals with his dreadful and upsetting world. He eventually leads her to contemplate suicide after rejecting her and making her give up on life. Her brother, Laertes, dedicates his life to†¦show more content†¦The prince now develops even more rejection towards his stepfather and has to keep quiet about this finding or else he would be taken as a fool. He also uses the appearance of being mad to his advantage in his attempt t o rid himself of his uncle and fear him. The prince now exhibits an even more maniacal disposition with the time he had to fester what he is to do next. He responds to Ophelia and shows up with a deranged personality with ragged clothes and a pale appearance. Her father, Polonius, now thinks Hamlet really did love Ophelia and has gone mad after she had rejected him. Then, he sends Rosencrantz and Guildenstern from his school to investigate why he has been acting crazy and to tell him a group of actors has arrived at the castle. He already decides that he will have the actors perform a play reenacting the murder of his father to see Claudiuss reaction because he thinks the ghost is a lying devil. Claudius, Polonius, and Gertrude, wants to test Hamlets love for Ophelia as they spy on a meeting between the two. Then, Hamlet shows his nasty side and proclaims that Ophelia should go see a nunnery and become a nun. Hamlet has forgotten all the pleasures he had in his life to spend his time exacting his revenge on Claudius.
